Former Aggie Star Wade Taylor IV Launches Youth Basketball Camp in Bryan

The two‑day event, organized with E3 Camps, aims to give back to the community that shaped his career.

Wade Taylor IV, Texas A&M’s all‑time leading scorer, came back to Bryan this week to run a youth basketball camp, teaming up with E3 Camps to give back to the community that helped shape his career.

Aggie Legacy Lives On

The camp, held at the Legends Event Center, welcomed more than 100 children aged 5 to 16 for a day of drills, fundamentals and direct interaction with Taylor and a handful of former Aggies.

Among the alumni who joined him were Pharrel Payne, Henry Coleman III, Zhuric Phelps, Manny Obaseki, Hayden Hefner, Davin Watkins and Jelani Spain, each offering their own insights to the next generation.

Taylor, a three‑time First‑Team All‑SEC selection, now competes in the NBA G League with the Mexico City Capitanes, bringing professional experience to the clinic.

Laurence Bowers, a former Missouri standout and founder of E3 Camps, said the event reflects the opportunities that once propelled his own career, having once faced A&M in the Big 12 before moving to the SEC.

A second session is slated for Sunday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at the same venue, with both Taylor and Bowers hoping the camp will become an annual tradition.
