Former Clemson Basketball Player Rod Hall Diagnosed with Serious Neurological Condition

Family's GoFundMe surpasses $8,500 as Hall battles unexpected medical emergency

A sudden health crisis off the court

Former Clemson basketball guard Rod Hall was diagnosed earlier this year with a serious neurological condition that has forced him out of work and into extended medical care.

The diagnosis emerged after Hall collapsed during a high‑school alumni basketball game in Augusta, Georgia, on June 28, when he experienced a sudden medical emergency that left spectators alarmed.

Hall, who played for Clemson from 2011 to 2015, was one of five players in coach Brad Brownell's inaugural recruiting class and ranks among the top ten in several career categories, including 393 assists and 129 games played.

A GoFundMe page created by Hall's family has raised more than $8,570 toward a $20,000 goal, providing critical support for his treatment and recovery.

Community response

Friends, former teammates and fans have rallied around Hall, emphasizing the outpouring of community support that underscores his impact both on and off the court.
