The National Football Foundation revealed its 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot on Monday, spotlighting three former Florida Gators who left indelible marks on the program.
Alex Brown, who still holds the school record for career sacks with 33, is joined by Kevin Carter, a cornerstone of the 1994 SEC championship team, and Percy Harvin, celebrated for his electrifying play that helped Florida capture two national titles and two SEC crowns during the Urban Meyer era.
Florida’s footprint in the Hall of Fame stretches far beyond these candidates; in total, fifteen former Gators have been enshrined, including ten players and five coaches, underscoring the state’s sustained impact on college football.
A Legacy of Florida Excellence
Among the most recent inductees is Urban Meyer, who entered the Hall as part of the 2025 class, while earlier legends such as Steve Spurrier, Emmitt Smith and Tim Tebow have become synonymous with Florida’s storied legacy.
The ballot’s release not only honors past achievements but also fuels anticipation for the upcoming selection process, reminding fans that the Gators’ tradition of excellence continues to shape the sport’s narrative.
