Former Muncie Star Returns Home to Lead Youth Football Camp

Eddie Faulkner, now a Baltimore Ravens running backs coach, brings NFL talent to his hometown for a free summer camp

Eddie Faulkner, a Muncie native who once starred for Muncie Central before embarking on a professional playing career and later a coaching stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is set to bring his expertise back to his hometown this June.

Third Annual Team Faulk Youth Development Camp

The free camp, open to boys and girls between the ages of six and eighteen, will take place on June 20 at Central High School, the very field where Faulkner first honed his craft.

Organizers have assembled a staff of current NFL assistants and college coaches, creating a curriculum that blends skill development with mentorship. Faulkner’s son, Eddie Faulkner IV, and his nephew Chris Reaves will each lead age‑specific groups, ensuring personalized instruction for participants.

The camp’s coaching roster includes assistants from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, as well as former players from Ohio University and Wabash College, adding depth and credibility to the program.

Community impact

All proceeds from the camp will be directed to the Edgar Faulkner Sr./Ermal S. Roundtree Fund at the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, a charitable initiative that provides educational and athletic resources to underserved youth.

Beyond the on‑field drills, the camp aims to instill values of teamwork, discipline and academic achievement, echoing the principles that defined Faulkner’s own career trajectory from Muncie Central to the NFL and now to coaching with the Baltimore Ravens.
