Legends Camp Returns to Inspire Tallahassee’s Young Athletes
The second annual Tallahassee Legends Youth Football Camp will take place at Lincoln High School on Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., bringing together former professional players who once called the Big Bend region home.
James Coleman, who starred at Florida State before a brief New Orleans Saints stint, joins B.J. Daniels, a Super Bowl 48 champion with the Seattle Seahawks, along with Amari Gainer and Pat Watkins, both of whom built their careers at Florida State and in the CFL and NFL.
The free camp, which requires pre‑registration because of limited capacity, is open to children between six and sixteen and aims to sharpen skills, boost confidence, and provide mentorship from seasoned athletes.
Participants can expect a mix of skill drills, speed work, position-specific training, prizes, branded t‑shirts and post‑session meals from local favorites Jersey Mikes and Slim Chickens.
Organizers emphasize that walk‑ups will not be accepted, so families are encouraged to secure spots early through the Legends Camp website.
