Immersive Training in Mobile
Each January, the Senior Bowl transforms Mobile, Alabama, into a laboratory for aspiring football scouts. Over the course of a week, former NFL players gather to dissect game film, build mock rosters and learn the discipline required to evaluate talent at the professional level.

Chris Vaughn, Assistant Director of College Scouting for the Dallas Cowboys, leads a session that draws on his own journey from coaching to personnel work. Former Alabama wide receiver Kevin Norwood, who once caught passes for the Crimson Tide, attends the program to pivot toward recruiting and personnel responsibilities. Norwood values the chance to explore a post‑playing career while balancing family commitments, noting that the skills he acquires will help him stay connected to the game he loves.
