Arrest Details Emerge
Los Angeles County authorities announced the arrest of Michel Alvarez Macedo, a former youth soccer coach, on charges of soliciting a minor for sexual activity.
According to the Whittier Police Department, the alleged communication began on Instagram, where Macedo reportedly engaged the minor in a conversation that escalated to requests for sexual encounters.
Macedo’s coaching résumé includes stints with Fullerton Rangers FC and the Fullerton College Women’s Soccer Program, roles that gave him regular contact with adolescent athletes.
Detective Corcoran, who is overseeing the case, has asked anyone with additional information to call 562‑567‑9283.
