The Fort Kent Warriors are gearing up for another season after capturing their first-ever Class C state championship last year, a victory that sparked excitement across the small Maine community.
At the helm of that effort is first‑year head coach Dom Rossignol, who succeeded longtime mentor Chad Cyr after Cyr stepped down to be closer to his family.
Rossignol, a 2007 graduate of Madawaska High School and former assistant at Wisdom and Fort Fairfield, brings a fast‑paced, run‑and‑gun philosophy that emphasizes depth and defensive versatility.
He notes that the 2026‑27 roster will be younger, with six returning players — including twins Aden Jeffers and Jaden Jeffers — while the team will forgo traditional center positions in favor of athleticism and an 84‑foot approach.
