Censere Gaylord, a four‑star cornerback out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced his commitment to the University of Washington on Tuesday, selecting the Huskies over a list of 31 other programs that included Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech.

Ranked No. 113 overall and No. 13 among cornerbacks in the 2027 class by 247Sports, Gaylord brings a blend of press‑coverage technique and hard‑hitting tackling that coaches say fits perfectly into defensive coordinator Ryan Walters' aggressive scheme.
During his junior season at IMG, Gaylord recorded five pass breakups and four interceptions, numbers that helped him rise quickly on recruiting boards and caught the eye of secondary coach John Richardson, under whom he will now work.
Coaches envision him as a potential outside defender in the Big Ten or as a nickel specialist, a versatility that could add depth to a secondary that has been seeking additional playmakers.
