Four-star shooting guard Justin Wise, a standout at North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia, has announced that he will be considering just six programs as he maps out his college future.
Legacy and the road ahead
The 2027 prospect, ranked No. 63 in the 247Sports Composite, posted a sophomore season that saw him average 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game, while also capturing back-to-back Region Player of the Year honors and two state championships.
Wise’s recruitment has been shaped by a personal connection to the University of Miami; his uncle, former Hurricanes guard Torey McCormick, starred for the program in the mid-1990s and even led the team in minutes, assists and steals as a true freshman in 1993-94.
Beyond the high school hardwood, Wise competes on the Nike EYBL circuit for Jet Academy, where his performances have drawn attention from coaches across the country.
With the list now trimmed to Miami, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Clemson, the next steps will hinge on how the coaching staffs at those schools respond to his evolving game and the legacy he hopes to build.
