Four-Star Recruit Visits Naval Academy
A four-star quarterback prospect who has already pledged to the University of Michigan recently traveled to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, for a visit that blended personal heritage with football ambition.
A Family Affair at the Academy
Kamden Lopati’s brother, Karson, is already part of the Navy’s football roster, and the visit allowed the younger Lopati to spend quality time with his sibling while soaking in the traditions of the service academy.
Their father, Keith Lopati, described the trip as an honor, emphasizing that it gave Kam a chance to learn from his brother and teammates while reinforcing the family’s respect for the Navy community.
Michigan’s coaching staff, including head coach Kyle Whittingham, publicly endorsed the visit, signaling that the program values the player’s commitment to both family and the broader football ecosystem.
Rankings and Future Plans
Ranked as the No. 15 quarterback nationally and the second-best prospect in Utah according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Lopati is expected to sign with Michigan later this year. He will return to Ann Arbor on June 19 to continue building relationships with the 2027 recruiting class, including four-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant.
The visit underscores how elite recruits are navigating a complex landscape where personal connections, academic prestige, and athletic opportunity intersect.
