Recruiting Landscape
Four-star offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson has emerged as one of the most coveted prospects in the 2027 class, landing in the top 400 nationally and ninth among Virginia’s elite according to 247sports, while Rivals places him at No. 281 overall and seventh in the state.
Hudson’s recruitment has been marked by a deliberate process: he has earmarked Tennessee, Virginia, and Virginia Tech as his final three choices, and has lined up official visits to each program, with his last scheduled trip to Knoxville set for June 19.
The Virginia native, who also competes in track and field at Western Branch High School, capped his junior season with a 6-5 record for his football team and now prepares to announce his college decision on July 25, a date that will crystallize the next chapter of his career.
Class Momentum
Tennessee’s 2027 recruiting class currently sits at No. 30 nationally and No. 10 within the SEC, bolstered by eight commitments to date, including four-star offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, an early pledge from Murfreesboro’s Siegel High School who was among the first Vols’ commitments in this cycle.
Uwaifo’s presence underscores the Vols’ aggressive outreach in the Midstate region, and Hudson’s potential addition would further solidify the line’s future depth as the program looks to climb the SEC rankings.
