Four-star point guard Kevin Savage III announced his college choice in a CBS Sports interview, confirming that he will join Purdue’s 2027 roster. The commitment marks a significant addition to the class and highlights the program’s growing appeal among elite prospects.
Ranked No. 36 nationally and No. 9 among point guards by 247sports, Savage impressed during the Adidas 3SSB circuit this spring, where he averaged 20.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game. His performance on the national showcase circuit reinforced his status as one of the most coveted guards in the 2027 class.
A Future Point Guard-Center Duo
Savage’s decision to commit to Purdue came after he considered a list of suitors that included Georgia, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Florida State and Auburn. He becomes the second pledge in the class, joining five-star center Isaiah Hill, and will look to form a dynamic partnership with the big man in the paint.
Head coach Matt Painter, who already secured Hill’s pledge, emphasized the potential of pairing a dominant interior presence with a floor‑general who can create and distribute.
