Lawrence Britt, a four-star junior athlete at Lausanne, has officially pledged to play football at the University of Missouri, turning down offers from Arkansas, Iowa and Florida.
Ranked No. 12 in the 247Sports Composite for Tennessee’s Class of 2027, Britt is celebrated for his dual-threat abilities, projecting as a wide receiver while also contributing as a rusher.
In a statement, Britt explained that familial connections in Missouri and a deep rapport with the coaching staff were decisive factors in his decision, underscoring the personal side of modern recruiting.
During his high school career, he earned CA All‑Metro third‑team honors after amassing 41 receptions for 652 yards and 11 touchdowns, to go along with 299 rushing yards and five scores on 51 carries.
His commitment marks the fifth decision from the Memphis 2027 recruiting class, a trend that signals a shifting power dynamic in regional recruiting pipelines.
Coaches at Missouri have highlighted his work ethic and versatility, noting that his addition could bolster the Tigers’ offense ahead of the upcoming season.
