Adryan Cole, a four‑star safety prospect from Douglasville, Georgia, announced his pledge to the University of Georgia on Tuesday, becoming the first defensive back to commit to the Bulldogs under head coach Kirby Smart.
A Homecoming for a Top‑Ranked Talent
Cole, who maintains a 4.0 grade point average, chose Georgia over a final list that included Florida, Ole Miss and LSU after a series of visits that deepened his connection to the program.
His commitment bumps Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class to 19 pledges, positioning the group at No. 12 nationally among high school prospects.
Ranked No. 191 overall in the country and No. 16 among safeties, Cole also holds the No. 21 spot within the state, underscoring the significance of his addition to the defensive backfield.
The Bulldogs’ coaching staff celebrated the news on social media, where Cole posted a simple yet powerful message: “I’m home!”
The announcement marks a milestone for Smart’s recruiting efforts, reinforcing the program’s ability to attract elite talent early in the cycle.
