Ta'Shawn Poole, a 6‑foot‑2, 185‑pound safety out of Howard High School in Macon, Georgia, entered the 2025 recruiting cycle as one of the most coveted prospects in the state. The recruitment took shape over a series of official trips, the final one landing on June 5, when Poole stepped onto the University of Tennessee campus for the last time before making his decision. Earlier in the year, on February 21, the Volunteers extended a scholarship, but the allure of the Seminoles grew steadily, culminating in a commitment that surprised many.
