FOX Sports Radio’s flagship show Covino & Rich took its microphones to Naval Base Coronado on June 19, 2026, delivering a live two‑hour special that was streamed to more than 330 affiliates, iHeartRadio and the FOX Sports Radio website.
The broadcast was embedded in NASCAR’s historic San Diego Weekend, a three‑day celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy. The event, presented by the nonprofit We the Veterans and Military Families, aimed to honor veterans and military families across sports and civic engagement.
During the special, the hosts previewed the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule, highlighted the United Rentals Driven to Serve 250 set for June 20, and teased the upcoming Anduril 250 Race the Base on June 21, weaving together racing excitement with a tribute to service members.

Steve Covino and Rich Davis, who joined FOX Sports Radio in September 2021, bring a relatable, down‑to‑earth approach to sports commentary. Their chemistry, forged on Maxim Radio’s Sirius Satellite channel in December 2004, continues to resonate with listeners who appreciate both analysis and levity.
In September 2023 the pair expanded their platform with a new video series and podcast titled Overpromised with Covino & Rich, further diversifying the ways they engage fans across sports, culture and civic topics.
