FOX to Air NHRA Midwest Nationals in Landmark Broadcast Adjacent to Football

The upcoming race marks the sixth consecutive year of NHRA playoff coverage paired with NFL action, highlighting the series’ 75th‑anniversary season.

A Milestone Broadcast

FOX will air the 15th annual NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals on Sunday, Oct. 4, right alongside a football broadcast, marking the sixth straight year the series has been paired with an NFL game on the network.

The telecast is part of NHRA’s 75th‑anniversary season and follows last year’s record‑breaking viewership, which drew 2.065 million viewers and peaked at 3.631 million, the highest numbers ever recorded for an NHRA broadcast.

World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis has long been celebrated for its high‑speed passes and packed crowds, making it a natural showcase for the sport as the network prepares to highlight the track, its city, region and fans to a global audience.

Chris Blair, executive vice president and general manager of World Wide Technology Raceway, said he is excited to bring the excitement of NHRA racing to millions of viewers, emphasizing the unique opportunity to connect fans with the sport’s heritage and community.

The 2026 NHRA schedule on FOX will continue with events in New England, Norwalk, Ohio, Seattle and Indianapolis, each positioned to lead directly into football coverage in selected markets, while the prestigious U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis will close the season on Sept. 7.
