Framingham High School’s football program is gearing up for the 2026 campaign after clinching a playoff berth in 2025. The excitement is palpable as the Flyers bring back a key piece of that success: senior running back Nick Duarte, who amassed 1,683 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior.
The schedule, however, does not ease the team into the new season. Framingham will open with four consecutive away games, testing the squad against traditional rivals Milford, Shrewsbury, Braintree and Newton North before finally stepping onto home turf.
After the road stretch, the Flyers will return to Bowditch Stadium for a series of home contests, giving the home crowd a chance to rally behind a team that has already proven its resilience.
The season culminates with the classic Thanksgiving matchup against Natick, a rivalry that often defines the final standings and adds a festive climax to the schedule.
Beyond Duarte’s individual production, the team must replace five other league all‑stars who graduated, making the upcoming season both a test of depth and a celebration of continuity.
