The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is approaching its final regular‑season battle at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, a venue where owner points remain up for grabs and every position carries weight.
A Selfless Gesture
Frankie Muniz, who has been behind the wheel of the No. 33 truck for the entirety of the season, announced that he will not start the upcoming race. Instead, he will hand the cockpit to his teammate Luke Baldwin, a young driver who has been quietly accumulating experience throughout the year.
Baldwin, a driver with ten Truck Series starts — including five earlier in 2024 — made his debut in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series earlier this season and has begun to show flashes of raw speed that have not gone unnoticed.
Team owner Josh Reaume praised Muniz’s decision, calling it a selfless act that highlights the camaraderie within the garage. He pointed to Baldwin’s proven ability to extract performance from the team’s equipment as the reason the move makes strategic sense.
Baldwin, grateful for the opportunity, said he is focused on delivering a strong result and maximizing points for the team, promising to give his all behind the wheel in the season‑ending event.
