Franklin & Marshall College Baseball is marking a century and a half of competition with the unveiling of a new commemorative logo that will serve as the visual centerpiece of a yearlong anniversary celebration. The design, revealed by Diplomat Athletics, honors the program’s storied past while looking ahead to future triumphs.
Fans can purchase official merchandise featuring the 150‑Year of Baseball emblem through the Franklin & Marshall Athletics BSN Store, accessible online at the college’s athletics portal. The store offers a range of apparel and accessories that allow supporters to wear their pride as the program prepares for a series of special events.
The program’s legacy includes four appearances in the NCAA Tournament, four Centennial Conference championships, two Middle Atlantic Conference titles, and the development of multiple All‑American athletes. These achievements underscore the consistent excellence that has defined the team across generations.
True Blue Weekend, scheduled for October 23‑25, kicks off the anniversary festivities. The three‑day slate features a Hall of Fame induction ceremony, a football tailgate that brings together current players, alumni and supporters, and opportunities for former athletes to reconnect with the campus community.
Jay Baumgardner, a 1973 alumnus, will be inducted into the Franklin & Marshall Athletics Hall of Fame on October 23 at 5 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public and free of charge, providing a moment to recognize his contributions to the program’s rich history.
During the football game against Ursinus on October 24 at 1 p.m., a dedicated baseball tailgate tent will host a gathering where alumni can share stories, swap memorabilia and celebrate the sport with the next generation of players.
Alumni are encouraged to bring photographs and personal keepsakes to a display table set up at the tailgate, creating a living archive that illustrates the program’s evolution from its earliest days to the present.
The celebration will continue throughout the academic year, with the highlight being a special event tied to the spring 2027 baseball season.
