The National Association of Basketball Coaches has released its 2025‑26 Honors Court, naming five members of the Franklin & Marshall men’s basketball team for their academic achievements. Alongside the individual selections, the Diplomats captured the NABC Team Award after maintaining a collective GPA above 3.0, a testament to the program’s balance of scholarship and competition.
Senior guard Asad Syed earned his first appearance on the Honors Court. He contributed 59 points, 22 rebounds, 26 assists, 12 steals and three blocked shots during the season, underscoring his versatile impact on the court.
Guard Dylan Cormac secured a second consecutive spot on the NABC Honors Court and added a third straight selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, highlighting his sustained academic excellence.
Nowoswiat Leads the Diplomats
Kevin Nowoswiat’s season was decorated with multiple honors. He earned a place on the NABC All‑District 5 First Team, was named D3hoops.com All‑Region 5 Second Team, and received All‑Centennial Conference First Team recognition. His leadership helped the Diplomats secure a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and extended their streak of seasons with at least 20 wins.
Kola Lysynecky and Vakaris Grauslys each received a second selection to the NABC Honors Court. Lysynecky also added a third stint on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, while Grauslys capped his collegiate career with a third consecutive All‑Centennial Conference honor.
The Diplomats concluded the 2025‑26 campaign with a 22‑6 record, including a perfect 10‑3 tally in Centennial Conference play. The team finished the season unbeaten at home in the Mayser Center and posted a 12‑game winning streak that stretched from November 11 to January 10, marking one of the program’s strongest stretches.
Looking ahead, Tim Sweeney will take the helm as head coach. Sweeney, who spent seven years guiding the Connecticut College squad, succeeds the previous coaching staff and is expected to build on the momentum generated by the team’s recent achievements.
