Community Soccer Watch Party Brings Excitement to Sequim
On Friday, June 19, the shores of Sequim will host a free community soccer watch party organized by 7 Cedars Resort Properties, inviting families and soccer enthusiasts to gather at the James Center Bandshell near Carrie Blake Park.
The celebration will feature live broadcasts of international matches, a lineup of local musicians, a variety of food vendors, and a host of interactive soccer activities designed for participants of all ages.
Erick Miller, director of marketing for 7 Cedars Resort Properties, said the event grew out of a desire to connect the region’s soccer community and provide a welcoming space for fans to cheer together.
The program includes a marquee clash between Team USA and Australia, alongside two additional matches that will showcase emerging talent from the Pacific Rim, running from midday until evening.
Local soccer organizations have partnered with the resort to offer skills clinics, training drills, and playful challenges, giving attendees the chance to sharpen their game while enjoying the festivities.
Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs, don team apparel or display national flags, and arrive early to make the most of the 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule.
