The Hoboken Public School District is reviving a summer tradition that blends recreation with community spirit.
Summer Soccer Schedule
From July 24 through August 14, the district will host free pick‑up soccer games at Louis M. Taglieri, Jr. Stadium, located at 1000 Jefferson Street in Hoboken.
All Hoboken students from kindergarten to twelfth grade are invited, with the field divided into age‑specific time blocks to match developmental needs.
The schedule runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring kindergarten through second grade alongside third through fifth grade in the first hour, sixth through eighth graders in the second, and high school students in the final hour.
This initiative taps into a broader surge in soccer’s popularity across the United States, a wave fueled by recent World Cup viewings and block‑long watch parties that have sparked interest among fans of all ages.
