The 18‑year‑old French wing arrived in Spokane for preseason workouts in late 2025, bringing a blend of athleticism and overseas experience that could reshape the team's depth chart.
Ekanga-Ehawa’s résumé includes a stint with France’s U20 squad at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket in Slovenia, where he helped the team finish fourth with a 5‑2 record. In that tournament he logged 3.0 points, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game, numbers that only partially capture his impact on the court.
Back in his native France, he posted impressive statistics for JL Bourg’s U21 roster, averaging 19.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals while earning Most Improved Player honors in the Espoirs ELITE league. Standing 6‑6 with a strong frame, he is viewed as a transition threat and a straight‑line driver who can finish at the rim.
