An 18‑year‑old freshman at PennWest California was found dead in the back hatch of her Jeep parked near the California Borough Library on a recent evening, the scene that would soon become the focus of a homicide investigation.
The Victim’s Profile
Karoline Heintz, a recent graduate of Peters Township High School, had just signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at the university and was adjusting to life on campus in Pennsylvania’s California Borough.
