A Commitment That Echoes Through Tallahassee
Florida State University’s football program received a boost as four‑star edge prospect Anthony Cavallaro reaffirmed his pledge to the Seminoles ahead of the 2026 season opener.
Cavallaro, ranked No. 362 nationally and No. 33 among edge rushers by the 247Sports composite, also holds the No. 35 spot among Florida prospects at his position, underscoring the significance of his recruitment.
The Seminoles first offered the prospect in November during a visit for their game against Virginia Tech, a meeting that set the stage for a series of engagements that would culminate in his commitment.
Later that January, Cavallaro attended a Junior Day event, and by the month’s end he formally announced his decision to join the ACC powerhouse, shutting down his remaining recruitment pursuits.
His connection to the program deepened with an unofficial visit in March and an official visit in May, experiences that reinforced his resolve to wear the garnet and gold.
Now one of three edge commits in the 2027 class alongside Jaxon Holly and Meshi Dobson, Cavallaro’s presence signals a promising defensive outlook for the Seminoles.
Beyond rankings, his active involvement with the team — from attending practices to engaging with coaches — has helped solidify his commitment, a narrative that resonates with fans eager to see the next generation of talent in Tallahassee.
