Florida State University’s football program is turning up the heat on the 2028 quarterback market, seeking to replenish its depth chart with elite talent.
Among the prospects, four‑star recruit Kaden Craft of Mooresville, North Carolina, has emerged as a centerpiece of the Seminoles’ plans.
A Talent on the Rise
Craft’s sophomore campaign at Lake Norman High School was nothing short of impressive, as he threw for 1,739 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 387 rushing yards and 13 scores, guiding his team to an 8‑4 record.
The Seminoles extended a scholarship to Craft on June 8, 2025, after he impressed coaches at a camp in Tallahassee, a visit that included a game at Doak Campbell Stadium.
Recruiting analyst Tom Loy of 247Sports has repeatedly listed FSU among the top contenders, noting that Craft’s blend of arm strength and mobility aligns with the school’s offensive vision.
With roughly 20 quarterbacks on the Seminoles’ radar for the class, Craft’s commitment would signal a major step toward shaping the next era of FSU’s passing attack.
