Liberty Women's Soccer has officially added Gabby Magee to its 2026 roster, cementing the midfielder’s place in the upcoming campaign and signaling the program’s intent to build on recent success.
Hailing from Lynchburg, Virginia, Magee arrives after a standout high school career at Jefferson Forest High School, where she earned first‑team all‑state honors, was named Seminole District Player of the Year in her junior season, and graduated early to join the Lady Flames for the 2026 season.
A family legacy on the field
Her father, Skylor Magee, serves as the Defensive Line Coach for Liberty Football, while her sister Kayla Magee recently transferred to Liberty after a two‑year stint as a defender for the Lady Flames, appearing in 39 games and earning a spot on the 2024 Conference USA All‑Conference first team.
Magee’s club experience includes three seasons with Wilmington Hammerheads FC from 2021 to 2023 and a year at Skyline Elite in Charlottesville, where she contributed over 20 goals in her final high school season and helped her team to a 13‑0‑1 region record.
The Lady Flames open the season at home on August 13 at Osborne Stadium, aiming to defend the 2026 CUSA Championship title they captured last year. Coach Lang Wedemeyer will look to integrate Magee’s athleticism and field awareness into a squad that already boasts a strong defensive foundation.
