Spotlight on Key Gamecocks
Head coach Shane Beamer will be joined by quarterback LaNorris Sellers, wide receiver Nyck Harbor and defensive back Peyton Williams. Each brings a distinct story heading into the 2026 season, offering a glimpse of the team’s offensive firepower and defensive depth.
Sellers is entering his third year as the Gamecocks’ starting quarterback. In his first two seasons he has amassed 6,052 yards of total offense and 46 touchdowns, establishing himself as a reliable playmaker. Williams, a redshirt senior, contributed 50 total tackles and two interceptions during the 2025 campaign. His presence in the secondary adds a veteran’s perspective to a defense that is looking to tighten up after a season of inconsistency.
