The 2025‑26 campaign ended with a 18‑18 overall record and a 7‑11 mark in the Atlantic 10, marking the program’s first appearance in the Great Eight of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
A new era on the bench
Head coach Ganiyat Adeduntan will oversee a revamped staff for the 2026‑27 season. Assistant coach Brianna Finch departed for the University of Massachusetts Lowell, while John Hampton was elevated to associate head coach. Two new assistants, Essence Baucom and Kindyll Dorsey, join the program, bringing fresh recruiting expertise and on‑court experience.
Baucom arrives from Elon University, where she served as an assistant and recruiting coordinator for five years, while Dorsey previously held roles at Buckingham Browne & Nichols High School and Northeastern University.
Five fresh faces on the roster
The team will welcome five transfers, comprising three guards and two forwards, to bolster depth. Graduate guard Anne Bair comes from Colgate University, having previously worked under Adeduntan at Manhattan College. Senior guard Amor Harris transfers from Longwood University, where she averaged 10.6 points per game last season. Sophomore forward N’na Konate joins from Campbell University, noted for her rim‑protection skills. Junior guard Alicia Newell arrives from Richmond, having led her team with 61 steals as a sophomore. Junior forward Cam Rust rounds out the class after a stint at Seton Hall, where she contributed two points per game.
With this blend of experienced returnees and new talent, Adeduntan believes the program is positioned to climb the conference standings and contend for postseason success.
