The University of Florida announced that senior kicker Patrick Durkin, senior center Harrison Moore, and junior running back Jadan Baugh have been selected for the preseason watchlists of three of the sport’s most respected individual awards.
Lou Groza Award Watchlist
Durkin, who transferred from Tulane, earned the nod after converting 89.3 percent of his field goal attempts last season, finishing 25 of 28 tries. His accuracy ranks second among all returning FBS kickers who attempted at least 20 kicks in the previous year.
The award, presented annually to the nation’s top placekicker, will narrow its list to 20 semifinalists on November 17, with the finalists and champion revealed on November 24 and December 10 respectively.
Rimington Trophy Watchlist
Moore, a Georgia Tech transfer, appears on the Rimington Trophy list after starting eight games at center in 2024 and appearing in 11 contests overall. He helped the Gators’ offensive line limit opponents to just nine sacks, a 0.69 per‑game average.
Maxwell Award Watchlist
Baugh, the Gators’ workhorse running back, was placed on the Maxwell Award watchlist with the goal of topping the SEC in rushing yards. In 2024 he amassed 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns, while also catching 21 passes for 185 yards and two scores.
His breakout performance came in the season finale against Florida State, where he logged 266 rushing yards — the second‑highest single‑game total in program history.
The Maxwell Award, given to the most outstanding player in college football, will also announce its semifinalists on November 17, with the finalists and winner to be revealed on December 10.
These preseason recognitions underscore the Gators’ depth at key positions and set high expectations for the upcoming campaign, as the team looks to translate individual accolades into collective success on the field.
