The Genoa boys soccer program will enter its second consecutive year with a roster that numbers only around fifteen athletes. Despite the losses, the returning core offers a blend of experience and potential. Noah Fennewald, a junior center back, is the most seasoned player back on the field, while juniors Jesse Reardon and Marcus Wheeler, who missed much of last year due to injury, are now fully healthy and ready to contribute. Five seniors — including dual‑sport athlete Julian Diaz and first‑year player Hayden Russell — round out the veteran presence.
Health management has become a central theme of the preseason plan. With limited scrimmages scheduled, the staff is prioritizing injury prevention for younger athletes, among them three freshmen who will see their first varsity action.
