Opening the season
George Mason University’s women’s soccer program has released its 2026 fall schedule, a demanding 18‑match slate that blends non‑conference road trips with a home‑heavy Atlantic 10 campaign.
The schedule was announced with a clear emphasis on building momentum, featuring 11 matches at George Mason Stadium, the team’s home venue, where fans can expect a lively atmosphere throughout the season.
The season opens with an exhibition against UMBC on August 5, followed by a regular‑season opener at home versus VMI on August 13, and a subsequent home clash with James Madison on August 16.
August also brings a trio of home non‑conference opponents — UPenn, Mount St. Mary's, and Loyola Maryland — providing early opportunities for the Patriots to fine‑tune their tactics.
Conference play begins
September’s road tests include trips to Liberty and Longwood, while the Atlantic 10 opener arrives at Saint Joseph's on September 19, marking the start of conference play.
Home fixtures continue with a September 24 matchup against Fordham, and October’s conference schedule features key battles against Richmond, Duquesne, Rhode Island, and La Salle.
The Patriots will also travel to George Washington, St. Bonaventure, and Davidson in the latter part of the semester, rounding out a regional slate that includes rivals from across the Mid‑Atlantic.
Overall, the coaching staff hopes the mixture of home‑field advantage and challenging away games will position the team for a strong postseason run in the Atlantic 10.
