A New Season Looms
The announcement comes as both squads prepare for a demanding stretch that will test depth, chemistry and resilience. Fans can expect a mixture of early‑season exhibitions, holiday‑week tournaments and a series of road trips that will take the teams across the country.
Men’s Non‑Conference Outlook
The men’s team will contest 14 games outside the Big East, nine of which will be played on the familiar hardwood of the Smith Center. Two tournaments anchor the schedule: the Greenbrier Tip‑Off in late November and the Texas Legends College Classic in mid‑December. The first true road test arrives on Dec. 12 at Boston College, a venue that also marks a reunion with former Georgetown standout Luke Hunger. Additional non‑conference foes include Harvard, UMBC and Power‑Five opponents such as Arizona and Northwestern, promising a varied competitive landscape.
Women’s Non‑Conference Outlook
The women’s program also navigates a 14‑game non‑conference slate, featuring eight home contests and participation in the Jacksonville Classic during Thanksgiving week, where they will meet the Arizona Wildcats and UAB Blazers. The season opens with a home victory over the University of the District of Columbia on Nov. 2, followed by an early‑season exhibition against Towson University on Oct. 18. The schedule wraps up with a home matchup against the University of Maine Black Bears on Dec. 21, completing a diverse array of opponents and settings.
Together, the schedules reflect Georgetown’s commitment to challenging its programs against a broad spectrum of competition, setting the tone for a season that could define the next chapter of both teams’ narratives.
