The Georgia Bulldogs entered the 2026 season ranked third in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll, marking their highest preseason position in years and positioning them as the top team in the SEC.
Their slate quickly becomes a gauntlet, beginning with a home showdown against the Oklahoma Sooners on September 26, the first meeting between the programs since Oklahoma’s move to the SEC.
A schedule stacked with ranked foes
Georgia will then travel to face Alabama, a No. 11 team that split the previous season series but captured a 28‑7 SEC championship victory, adding a layer of rivalry to the matchup.
The Bulldogs are also slated to meet Ole Miss, the No. 10 Rebels, in a rematch after the Rebels edged a pivotal game in 2025, and will host Missouri, the No. 25 Tigers, on November 14.
Beyond these marquee contests, the Bulldogs must navigate games against Florida, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Arkansas, the latter serving as the SEC opener, while the conference adopts a nine‑game schedule for the first time.
Despite the demanding path, the coaching staff remains focused on preserving depth and executing game plans that can translate into another SEC title run.
