A New Recruit on the Radar
The Georgia Bulldogs have officially extended a scholarship to Kington Preyear, a four-star quarterback prospect who has been making waves in Alabama high school football. Preyear, a member of the class of 2028, led Benjamin Russell High School to a 12-2 record in his sophomore season, throwing for over 3,000 yards and 31 touchdowns while also adding 564 rushing yards.
Ranked No. 51 nationally and fourth among rising junior quarterbacks, Preyear is also the third-best prospect in Alabama. His impressive statistics have attracted attention from several powerhouse programs, and he has publicly listed his top six choices: Alabama, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Florida, and Auburn.
Commitments and Rankings
Preyear expressed gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the significance of the offer from the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs already hold a commitment from five-star quarterback Jayden Wade, also part of the 2028 class, adding depth to their quarterback corps.
Coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia coaching staff view the addition of Preyear as a strategic move to bolster their recruiting class, reinforcing their position as a premier destination in the SEC. The offer underscores Georgia's aggressive pursuit of top talent amid a competitive national landscape.
