A Strategic Boost for the Bulldogs
The University of Georgia is putting the finishing touches on its 2026 basketball recruiting class, bringing in a mix of high‑profile prospects and experienced transfers as the program looks to rebound from recent departures.
Among the newcomers is three‑star forward Mading Kuany, a product of Iowa United Prep School in Norwalk, Iowa, who arrives with a No. 74 national ranking among small forwards.
Coach Mike White’s roster will also welcome Donovan Williams, Hakeem Weems and David Ugonna Ike, all three‑star recruits, while the transfer portal adds depth through James Scott from Ole Miss, guard Freddie Dilione from Penn State, and sharpshooter Brady Dunlap from Saint Louis.
Returning standouts such as Kanon Catching, Blue Cain and the Millender brothers — Kemauri and Smurf — provide continuity, even as the team copes with the loss of leading scorer Jeremiah Wilkinson and All‑SEC defensive anchor Somto Cyril.
Despite those departures, the Bulldogs’ objective remains clear: compete for a spot in March Madness and translate the new talent into a cohesive contender.
