The Southeastern Conference announced its full slate of matchups for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season on Monday, outlining a demanding conference schedule for the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs will face nine opponents that earned a spot in last year’s NCAA Tournament, a testament to the league’s depth and the team’s recent breakthroughs.
Georgia’s home calendar features a blend of traditional rivals and new challenges. The team will host Texas, Florida, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Missouri on its home floor, while also welcoming Oklahoma, Mississippi State, LSU and South Carolina to the arena throughout the season.
A demanding conference road ahead
Conference play opens on the road, with the Bulldogs scheduled to travel to Oxford for a January 2 showdown against Ole Miss. Additional away games will take them to Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Florida, Oklahoma and Alabama, ensuring a rigorous test against some of the SEC’s top programs.
The Bulldogs are coming off back‑to‑back NCAA Tournament appearances, having finished Mike White’s fourth season with a 22‑11 overall record and a 10‑8 mark in SEC play. The experience gained from that stretch has set the stage for what White hopes will be a sustained push toward the postseason.
White has emphasized the importance of keeping core pieces together. He noted that retaining players such as Blue Cain, Smurf Millender, Kanon Catchings and Kareem Stagg was a “big step in the right direction” for the program’s culture and continuity.
