The Georgia Bulldogs made history by establishing a new program record with 13 players drafted in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft. Georgia closed the 2026 campaign with a school-record 53 wins, a testament to the coaching staff's ability to develop elite talent. The Bulldogs dominated the SEC, securing both the regular-season crown and the tournament championship, before competing on the national stage in the College World Series.
The draft saw three Bulldogs selected on the first day, with an additional ten players hearing their names called on the second day. Notable selections included pitcher Edwin Alicea, a USF transfer taken in the 14th round by the Detroit Tigers, and Gonzaga transfer Mikey Bell, drafted in the 19th round by the San Francisco Giants.
Among the draftees were catcher Daniel Jackson, chosen by the Colorado Rockies in the first round, and pitchers Joey Volchko (Chicago White Sox, Round 3) and Caden Aoki (Texas Rangers, Round 7).
