Terrell Williams, a 44‑year‑old resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia, has been charged with burglary and theft from the home of the late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle.
The alleged break‑in occurred on January 8, just weeks after Biffle, his family and several others were killed in a plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina.
Investigators say Williams used surveillance techniques and an RF detector to locate the property, while cellular phone records placed him near the residence in the days leading up to the theft.
The stolen items recovered from the Biffle residence include firearms, and Williams also faces charges of safecracking, money laundering, obtaining property by false pretense and possession of burglary tools.
Multi‑State Investigation Underway
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and Cobb County Police Department have been collaborating on the case, which remains active and could bring additional charges as the inquiry expands.
Greg Biffle’s family expressed relief that stolen belongings have been recovered, noting the progress as a step toward closure after the tragic loss.
