James Madison’s forward Ginny Lackey has been selected for the 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Forwards to Watch List, a prestigious honor announced by United Soccer Coaches.

The accolade follows a breakout 2025 campaign in which Lackey started every match for the Dukes, contributing 11 goals and six assists for a total of 28 points.
Her impact was underscored by four game‑winning goals, the most in the Sun Belt conference that season, and she was crowned the league’s Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight year.
Lackey also made history as the first Sun Belt player to post back‑to‑back seasons with at least 25 points, a feat last achieved in 2014‑15.
The Dukes open their 2026 schedule on August 12 against NC State at Sentara Park, a game that will stream live on ESPN+ and set the tone for what many expect to be another dominant campaign.
