Ginny Lackey, the James Madison University women's soccer standout, has once again earned a spot on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, marking the second consecutive year she appears on the prestigious list for the 2025 season.
A Record‑Breaking Journey
During her sophomore campaign she started all 19 matches, delivering 11 goals and six assists for a total of 28 points. Four of those goals came in the final minutes to secure victories, tying her for first place in the conference for game‑winning strikes.
Her performance placed her among the elite in JMU history, making her the sixth student‑athlete from the program to reach the watch list and the first Sun Belt player to post back‑to‑back 25‑plus‑point seasons since the 2014‑15 campaign.
The accolades did not stop on the field. Lackey was named Sun Belt Preseason Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight year and earned a spot on the All‑Sun Belt Preseason Team alongside two fellow Dukes.
