The third annual Glacier Park College Soccer Showcase is set to unfold from August 6 to 8 at Columbia Falls High School, bringing together some of the nation’s top Division I women’s soccer programs.
A Platform for Growth and Community
This year’s field features the University of Montana, Gonzaga University and Mount Royal University, each sending their competitive women’s squads to compete in a series of matches that promise high‑level play and local excitement.
In addition to the collegiate games, the event will host a youth soccer clinic open to boys and girls between the ages of five and eighteen, giving young athletes a chance to learn from Division I players and coaches.
Organizers say the clinic and the showcase’s match days create a unique platform for community engagement, with local youth able to register for on‑field roles and volunteer positions that help run the tournament.
Community Impact and Future Prospects
Beyond the competition, the showcase aims to inspire the next generation of soccer players in Montana and to strengthen the state’s soccer infrastructure, with local schools and clubs hoping to build on the momentum generated by the event.
Support from Discover Kalispell has helped the showcase grow steadily, drawing roughly a thousand attendees in each of the past two years, and the event’s organizers expect this year’s turnout to be even larger.
Tickets for match day and registration for the clinic are available through the official website, gpcss.org, where interested participants can find detailed schedules and sign‑up information.
