Gladwin Varsity Football recently hosted its annual Tim Foor Youth Football Camp, a three‑day session that welcomed boys and girls from first through sixth grade.

Mentorship on the Field
Varsity players take charge of drills while Head Coach Kody Emeott oversees timing and logistics, turning the event into a hands‑on learning experience. Their presence not only sharpens technique but also serves as a daily role model for the youngsters.
Emeott notes that the camp has expanded dramatically since its early days, when only about ten children attended eight years ago. Today the program draws a larger, more diverse group, reflecting its growing reputation in the community.

For some varsity athletes, the camp is a full‑circle journey. Max Barz, who once attended as a camper, now leads drills and shares the lessons he learned about choosing sports and committing to teamwork.
Barz stresses that the camp helps younger participants decide which athletic paths to pursue, offering them a clear sense of what it means to play with purpose and integrity.
