The Goodrich High School girls flag football team concluded the regular season without a loss, securing the "Forward Down the Field" division championship in the Detroit Lions Girls High School Flag Football League. Their perfect record placed them among 15 division winners across Michigan, each earning a spot in the state championships.
The league, which has expanded to 80 teams in just four years, showcases the rapid growth of girls flag football in the state. Goodrich’s triumph reflects the competitive balance and rising talent within the division.

The state championships will unfold at Ford Field in Detroit on May 30‑31, bringing together the top division champions for a showcase of skill and sportsmanship. Goodrich’s opening match is slated for 9:30 a.m. on May 30, kicking off what promises to be a historic weekend of play.
Coach and team members alike have expressed excitement about competing on the iconic field, noting that the venue’s atmosphere adds a unique dimension to the event. The schedule also includes additional matches later in the weekend, offering fans a full slate of games.
