A new chapter for Minnesota women's basketball
The University of Minnesota revealed that its women's basketball program will navigate an 18‑game Big Ten schedule during the 2026‑27 campaign, a milestone that underscores the team's growing prominence in the conference.
Fans can look forward to a pair of showdowns with Wisconsin, as the Golden Gophers and the Badgers will meet twice during the conference slate. Minnesota will enjoy a home‑court advantage against a host of traditional rivals, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Washington, Oregon and the Badgers themselves at the iconic Williams Arena.
The road trip will take the Gophers to a diverse set of venues, from the storied arenas of Maryland and Michigan State to the bustling campuses of Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State and Purdue. The schedule also features cross‑country trips to UCLA and USC, as well as a return to Wisconsin for the second meeting.
While the exact dates, tip‑off times and television assignments remain pending, the athletic department has promised a full non‑conference slate in the coming weeks. That future lineup will complement the conference schedule and provide additional opportunities for high‑profile matchups.
