Community Soccer Camp Returns to Goshen
Goshen City Football Club, in collaboration with the Center for Healing & Hope, will host a free youth soccer camp on June 20 at the Goshen Stars soccer fields. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to children between the ages of 8 and 16.
The camp is part of the partners’ ‘Move as One’ initiative, a program designed to blend soccer instruction with broader community well‑being, encouraging physical activity and mental health awareness among local families.
Coaches and Players Lead the Way
Current players and coaching staff from Goshen City FC will be on hand to run drills, mentor participants, and share insights from their own experiences. Organizers say the presence of role models helps foster a sense of belonging and inspiration on the field.
Open Registration Keeps Momentum
More than 100 youngsters have already signed up, and organizers are still welcoming walk‑ins on the day of the camp. Parents are encouraged to bring their children early to secure a spot, as space is limited but the atmosphere is intended to be inclusive.
A Day of Play and Healing
Beyond soccer skills, the camp aims to teach participants about teamwork, resilience, and self‑care. By integrating sport with wellness resources, the partnership hopes to leave a lasting positive imprint on the community.
