Deandra Schirmer, head coach of the Chattanooga Mocs women's basketball program, revealed that Grace Pack will step into the role of Graduate Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. Pack, a Richmond native, brings a blend of on‑court experience and administrative acumen that the coaching staff believes will sharpen the team's competitive edge.
Pack's basketball journey began at Western Carolina, where she established herself as a dominant post player. She later transferred to Gardner Webb, contributing to a squad that captured both the Big South Regular Season and Tournament titles. Her collegiate career was marked by consistent production, culminating in a 2025‑26 season in which she averaged 8.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Key Moments on the Court
During SoCon play, Pack delivered two standout performances, scoring 21 points against both Mercer and Wofford. Those outings underscored her ability to impact games in critical moments and highlighted the depth of talent she brings from the Southern Conference.
Beyond her playing statistics, Pack earned a degree in Sport Management from Western Carolina. While there, she participated in multiple committees and organizations, demonstrating leadership qualities that complement her coaching aspirations.
Professionally, Pack has served as a Football Operations and Recruiting Assistant at Western Carolina and as a Recruiting Assistant at Gardner Webb. These roles equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of team dynamics, player development, and operational excellence.
