A New Chapter for the Wildcats
The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has officially welcomed graduate student midfielder Graham Dougald, a move that bolsters the team's depth and adds a seasoned presence to the midfield.
Dougald arrives after a collegiate career that spanned Mount St. Mary's and Virginia Commonwealth University, where he contributed to a 2023 Atlantic 10 regular‑season championship. His versatility on the pitch and consistent work rate have been highlighted by coaches and teammates alike.
During his two seasons at Mount St. Mary's, Dougald started every match and earned All‑MAAC Third Team honors. He captained the squad in both the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, guiding the team to a District Championship while posting 12 goals and three assists.
His stint with the Charlottesville Blues USL 2 further refined his competitive edge, where he tallied 12 goals and two assists over two seasons and served as team captain in 2024 and 2025. Prior to college, he was the 2022 Team MVP at Albemarle High School, leading his high school side to a district title and earning ECNL All‑Conference recognition.
Director of Soccer Operations Rich Weinrebe emphasized that Dougald's blend of leadership, tactical intelligence, and relentless drive aligns perfectly with the program's ambitions. "We are excited to integrate a player who brings both championship experience and a strong developmental mindset," Weinrebe said.
The addition of Dougald is expected to elevate the team's midfield dynamics, offering tactical flexibility and a proven winning pedigree. As the Wildcats prepare for the upcoming season, his presence is poised to influence both on‑field performance and the program's culture.
